Who We Serve
Waterfront Businesses
Over ninety percent of all the goods imported into the U.S. pass through 361 U.S. waterfront facilities. Of the 25 million containers handled each year by container ports on the West Coast, 5 million pass through container ports in Seattle and Tacoma. We pride ourselves on our reputation as the highest quality security provider for these sites. Read what our clients are saying about our security services.

Tacoma waterfront client
NW Protective is the premier provider of security services to the waterfront in the Puget Sound region. The new rules and regulations issued for waterfront facilities by the Department of Homeland Security have raised the bar for knowledge, performance and experience in providing security services to the waterfront.
- All Officers assigned to waterfront facilities receive the comprehensive training mandated by U.S. Coast Guard regulation 33 CFR 105.
- Key NW Protective managers who interface with waterfront clients receive the same training and certification required by the new regulations for waterfront Facility Security Officers (FSOs).
- This training provides these NW Protective managers with the knowledge they need to work in partnership with waterfront FSOs in meeting the complex security requirements of the new regulations.
- NW Protective has a strategic alliance with a Seattle-based security consulting firm to keep up-to-date on all the latest developments relating to Homeland Security with an emphasis on the US Coast Guard rules and regulations governing waterfront facilities.
