NWPS Launches the GREEN Team!
As a company, we recognize the benefits of reducing our impact on the environment. This is why we have formed the NWPS Green Team, an internal initiative headed by our CEO, Randy Neely, and our executive team assistant, Kasy Rhoades. The Green Team will be rolling out our green initiative in each of our branch offices throughout 2009.
We have already accomplished much in this direction. In 2008 we replaced the majority of our patrol fleet with energy efficient Toyota Priuses. Our offices are switching to “green” janitorial services which use only environmentally-friendly cleaning products, and, in 2009, we’ll be focusing on ensuring that all of the vendors we use are green-focused.
Currently, we purchase recycled and environmentally friendly products and promote recycling in our offices as well as at the job site. Just as important, we encourage our employees to be frugal in their use of office products, especially paper and toner. Simply using less can reduce our impact on the environment.
The Green Team, made up of representatives from every branch, will meet frequently to ensure that we continue to use environmentally-friendly vendors and products, and to brainstorm other ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
We held our Green Team "Kick-Off" meeting on June 5th with Green Team members from all branches participating via web conference - it was quite a success!
