NorthWest Protective Security Service continues green efforts!
As a company, we recognize the benefits of reducing our impact on the environment.
We have already accomplished much in this direction. In 2008 we began replacing our patrol fleet with energy efficient vehicles. Our offices are switching to "green" janitorial services which use only environmentally-friendly cleaning products, and, in 2009, we'll be focusing on ensuring that all of the vendors we use are green-focused. NWPS is looking towards soy-based ink printing and reminding everyone to "think green, read-on-screen".
We continue to purchase recycled and environmentally friendly products and promote recycling in our offices as well as at the job site. We pay close attention and research the products we purchase, because Northwest Protective wants our money to be spent on "real" eco-friendly products. "Greenwashing", which is the result of unregulated use of green terminology, has unfortunately led to misleading eco-friendly labeling on products. We encourage our employees to be frugal and educated when purchasing and using office products, especially paper and toner. Simply using less can reduce our impact on the environment.
Our Green Team, is made up of representatives from every branch, they meet to ensure that we continue to use environmentally-friendly vendors and products, and to brainstorm other ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
