- MEDICAL
- The financial burden that quality health coverage has placed on individuals in today's society is tremendous and we were one of the first security guard companies to offer paid medical to all full-time employees.
- DENTAL
- A dental plan may be available, depending on location.
- LIFE INSURANCE
- Northwest Protective Service, Inc. pays for a $5,000 term life insurance policy for all our full-time employees after one year.
- PAID SICK LEAVE OR DISABILITY
- For non-job-related illness or injury that is not covered under worker's compensation we provide sick or disability pay. Sick pay starts on the first day of the individual's illness or on the first day of hospitalization or accidental injury. One week (40 hours) is paid after the first year, two weeks (80 hours) after five years. Disability pay begins after sick pay is exhausted and continues for up to 13 weeks.
- VACATIONS
- After one year of employment all full-time and part-time Security Officers are eligible for up to one week of paid vacation. Vacation is earned based upon the number of hours worked annually and tenure.
- HOLIDAYS
- Holiday pay varies depending on location.
- UNIFORMS
- Each Officer receives a 10-cent per hour Uniform Cleaning Allowance that should not be subject to State or federal taxes.
- RECOGNITION AND PROMOTION
Northwest Protective Service, Inc. management and staff let our employees know they are not just an employee number, but a valuable member of a team. We recognize employees in our employee newsletter. Our management and staff coordinate with Clients to recognize individuals retiring from the Northwest Protective Service, Inc. team. Letters of recognition and monetary awards are provided to employees whom clients have identified as exemplary. Employees are offered referral bonuses for helping recruit other dedicated members to the Northwest Protective Service, Inc. team. Employees identified as high achievers are offered opportunities for enhanced training or certifications and in many cases promotion. Whenever possible Northwest Protective Service, Inc. strives to promote from within.
Employee incentives and awards are provided to recognize exceptional performance. An Employee of the period program is in place that provides the opportunity for employees to nominate others or themselves for recognition. They receive a Certificate of Appreciation and cash reward. Officers who have been identified by Clients for exceptional service receive a letter from the President and CEO and a cash bonus.
